THE BEAUTY OF GODLY FRIENDSHIPS

Godly friendships make life worth living and godliness worth attaining.  

 There are seasons of cold nights, aching thoughts, and draining fears where our arms alone are unable to give us warmth and our minds are unable to birth positive thoughts.

There are also moments of happy successes and loud achievements when we need the happy cheers of loved ones and an ear to share our good news with. These seasons are those that birth the beautiful relationship called Friendship.

                    

Friendship is a priceless relationship we share with people who have an understanding of who we really are, yet embrace us nonetheless. They are those people who are quick to cheer our strengths and also quick to rebuke our shortcomings and weaknesses.

They are those people who stand by us in and out of our happy seasons. They are those who when we fall into errors, rather than desert us, their actions yell to us; “You messed up again, fool, but I’m right here for you, let’s get out of here.”

These are people we call friends. They are the people we need for our everyday life and above all, for our faith.

 

 As a Christian in this fast-paced world, where everyone’s chasing the next big deal, it is a whole beautiful thing to have people whose desires burn for the finer and greater rewards that come from above than the temporary comforts that earthly fame and money offer.

It is more than a blessing to be surrounded by friends whose lips are ready always to lift you up in prayer with genuine love burning in their hearts for your growth and success.

It is a refreshing experience to have people with whom you can share issues and they, without judgment, give sound solutions that are drenched in God's word and wisdom.

It is a delightful thing to have people who wouldn’t feel bored listening to all your tales of the goodness of Jesus. People who wouldn’t puke when you mention the name of the most amazing person in the entire world -JESUS.

These are the friends whose hunger for God fuels your desire to know Him more. This is the most beautiful of all friendships.

                                        
 

The beauty of godly friendships is splattered all over the Bible – Daniel and His friends, Elizabeth and Mary, David and Jonathan.

These friendships have birthed the most amazing miracles and events in the scriptures. Ours can birth even more incredible things if we become godly friends and choose godly pals.
